What is a 3D/4D ultrasound?
Like regular ultrasounds, 3D and 4D ultrasounds use sound waves to create an image of your baby in your womb. What's different about 3D ultrasounds is that they create a three-dimensional image of your baby. 4D ultrasounds create a live video effect -- it's like a movie. You can watch your baby smile or yawn.
How the process works?
Your baby will be imaged by a registered ultrasound technologist using realtime 4D imaging. This sonogram is a non-diagnostic procedure. This means it will not be interpreted by a physician and a formal report will not be generated.
When can this procedure be done?
For best results, this is preferably done between 25 and 32 weeks gestation and after a diagnostic sonogram has been performed by your physician.
What is the service provided?
3D/4D sonography can provide amazing pictures of your baby. Every effort will be made to capture the “perfect portrait”, however, results are dependent upon the baby’s position and no guarantee can be given as to the final images. Payment is for the service provided and is non-refundable.
Images on CD include:
- 10-15 2D/black and white images
- 10-15 3D/4D color images
How much does it cost and when are they done?
A payment of $150.00 is expected at the time the procedure is performed. Cash, credit cards and debit cards are accepted as payment. Insurance does not cover the cost of this sonogram.
Sesions are scheduled every 30 minutes on Friday afternoons. To make an appointment, please call our office at 825-9024.
